The NIU Office of Scholarship Coordination is available to assist in the administration of departmental and office scholarships. Along with colleagues in Development, the NIU Foundation, Financial Aid, and Accounting, we provide individualized training and group workshops on the following topics and more:
The NIU Office of Scholarship Coordination / Scholarship Services maintains the university scholarships website and ScholarshipFinder, the NIU scholarship search engine. Massive updating in done over the summer, but individual additions/deletions/changes can be made to the scholarships search engine at anytime. In addition to providing scholarship criteria and contact information, the search engine can also provide applications for students to download. The NIU Office of Scholarship Coordination / Scholarship Services will post or link to existing applications. We can also convert your current applications to pdf files and/or create new applications upon request.
Endowment Financial Summary Reports are posted monthly by the NIU Foundation. Fund administrators can view these reports in their budget directories. On a quarterly basis, the Office of Scholarship Coordination / Scholarship Serivices provides hard copies for the FSRs to deans, directors, chairpersons, and fund administrators. We are available to assist in the reading of these reports at anytime.
